Goosebrook Gardens is tucked away up the Grehan Valley, just 5 minutes from central Akaroa. The garden comprises two acres of newly developed gardens wrapped in the natural beauty of the native bush, the stream and the birdsong. This is a relatively new garden with extensive development since the 2024 tour, opening up enchanting areas of the property.
Move between wooded native areas and established, flower-rich terraced beds via purpose-built bridges and inspiring stone-lined paths. Establishing topiary and a willow circle are further points of interest for visitors. Included on the property is the cottage built in 1860, charming potting shed and bathhouse, orchard/chook run and roaming geese, all adding to the old-world charm.
Plants and collected treasures will be available for sale during the tour.
